Psychological Effects of the Outbreak of COVID-19 on the Mental Health of Healthcare Workers in Iran

Objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic exposed healthcare workers to heavy stress and made them vulnerable various types of mental illnesses. This study aims evaluate the psychological effects on health in ward. Methods: was performed during first peak 9-Dey Hospital Torbat Heydarieh Iran, which a total 178 ward participated via census sampling method. In this study, we employed Goldberg general questionnaire along with researcher-made experience exposure disease. Following completion questionnaires, participants’ data were analyzed by SPSS software statistical tests (the Spearman Pearson correlations). Results: Our results showed 91.1%, 77.57%, 87.55%, 87.07%, 56.75%, 74.16% for health, physical symptoms, anxiety sleep disorders, social dysfunction, depression respectively, conditions. significant association between COVID-19, disorders (P<0.05). Discussion: Access counseling psychotherapy systems, rehabilitation, improvement working conditions can effectively enhance resilience promote increase quality care treatment services.
